About our Maincubes data center

We moved into our new location, the Maincubes in Offenbach, in May 2020. This location completely replaced our former First Colo location by the end of October 2020.

With Maincubes, we chose a young, sustainable and carrier-neutral data center directly behind the city limits of Frankfurt am Main, which was planned as a data center in 2017 and went into operation in 2018.

The Maincubes offers a maximum capacity of 2,142 racks with a power and cooling capacity of 11MW on an area of 4,200m² in 6 rooms. The redundant power concept (2N) relies on innovative UPSs from Piller Power Systems and 6 independent diesel generators, while the redundant air conditioning (N+1) uses KyotoCooling, one of the most efficient solutions for air conditioning in data centers.

Resiliency

Our data center in Frankfurt is TÜV Level 3 certified including DIN EN 50600 and contractually guarantees 100% availability with measures such as a redundant and uninterruptible power supply.

Energy efficiency

We have an optimal PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) value of less than 1.3. For you this means: cost-efficient and environmentally friendly operation. Our outdoor cooling system uses Kyoto cooling to ensure the right climate.

Global connection

We connect you directly to the most important providers and internet nodes around the world.

IT and physical security

Our data center offers, among other things, multi-level access controls, camera surveillance, comprehensive fire protection and a 24-hour security service. The individual IT infrastructure installations meet every customer need without structural restrictions. The data center is TÜV tested and certified according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO 9001 (Q3-2019).

Data-Privacy

A multi-level security system protects your data. And: You benefit from the clear advantages of a data center in Germany, such as operation according to German standards for data protection and operational security as well as GDPR compliance.

Architecture

Design and functionality in perfection: The idea of a future-oriented environment for IT infrastructures inspired our engineers and thrilled the experts. In 2012, the Frankfurt data center was awarded the German Data Center Prize for visionary data center architecture.

The Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Center is the registry responsible for assigning IP networks and AS numbers for Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
